The footer contains information such as your address, privacy policy, and important links not featured in the main or secondary navigation.

What information should always be in the footer?

All this information is provided by default when you start building your site:

  • Privacy Policy
  • Address and contact information/link to "Contact" page. Users will often scroll to the footer for this information.
  • Copyright information

What other links should there be?

Footer content can be approached a few ways. You could:

  • Repeat your main navigation links. This works best for sites with a more limited amount of content.
  • Include links for secondary audiences, such as content for the media or job postings.
  • Feature global Howard links, such as to Admissions and Giving.
