Homepage & Landing Page Options

Most site builder widgets can be used to build homepages and landing pages.

These pages have a larger width with no sidebar navigation, and includes a special header area with options for intro text, images and video.

Examples to get you started

These examples are starting points for building homepages and landing pages. Every site’s content is different. Some may have many events, images and media to put on display; others may be more transactional, focusing on the essential content visitors need at-a-glance.

Clone these pages and modify them how you’d like. You can also look at live examples of various Howard websites for ideas.

Text-Focused Homepage

Ideal approach if you don't have access to a lot of images, especially high-quality ones. Well-structured pages that lean on text are still approachable and useful to visitors.

Image-Focused Homepage

If you want to show and not tell, try using this approach. This is ideal if you have lots of high-quality imagery that can really make your content shine.

Informational Homepage

Sometimes homepages need to lean and concise, focusing on sending visitors where they need to go (quickly). This is more transactional, and can be very effective.

Background Video Homepage

This approach is the same as the image-based homepage example, but uses a background video for the hero space. Only use this option if you have a high-quality, professional video.
